“Little girls, this seems to say, Never stop upon your way,
Never trust a stranger friend, No-one knows how it will end,
As you’re pretty, so be wise , Wolves may lurk in every guise ,
Now as then, ’tis simple truth, Sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth.”
Halloween is creeping up on the horizon and I fancied doing a photo shoot a little out of the ordinary…
As Nero is often compared to a wolf, I figured that the famous fairy tale ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ would be the ideal theme to recreate. It also pairs perfectly with our hashtag #fairytaleofarescuedtail.
Venturing deep into the woods wearing a red cape, carrying a wicker basket full of jam jars and in the company of a big German Shepherd certainly turned the heads of fellow dog walkers that passed by!
Crunching our way through the autumn leaves and thick mud with my wonderful woofer, we finally found various locations in the woods that set the scene for our shoot perfectly.
Trying to portray Nero as ‘the big bad wolf’ was almost impossible. Upon seeing me strategically place the contents of the basket on the floor, he decided he could make a better mess. Multiple times I re-arranged it and multiple times Nero injected his own clumsy creativity.
